This blade is pictured at the top of the picture. A simpler and safer version of the full length finishing knife, perfect for finishing the bowl of a spoon as it has the same compound curve, the hook at the end being omitted. Named after Robin Fawcett who was involved in the R&D of this range of blades. His favourite, and now my best seller. Some people will find that to get the most out of the design of these blades a left and right handed pair are needed; other will use just one to hunt down the very last facets in the spoon bowl.
Left and right hand blades are available, left handed pictured. All of these blades are supplied unhandled, the tang can be easily glued into a handle with epxoy resin . They are of a laminate construction, utilising a hard high carbon steel cutting edge ( silver steel) supported and reinforced by a softer mild steel backing, hand honed and stropped for a perfectly smooth, polished cut.
